Terms of Use
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of IMPETUS, including the mobile apps, websites at impetus-app.com, and related services (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service
IMPETUS is a strength & conditioning coaching platform. Users may act as coaches, athletes (clients), or both. Coaches can build and publish training blocks and sessions; athletes can follow programmes and log training. Facilities (gyms) may use separate portal features for classes, check-in, and related operations.
2. Accounts & eligibility
- You must provide accurate registration information and keep credentials confidential.
- You are responsible for activity under your account.
- You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction (and at least 13).
- One account may include both coach and client profiles; you are responsible for how you use each role.
3. Coach subscriptions
Certain coach features require an active paid subscription (or another entitled arrangement such as a facility-covered seat or grandfathered access). iOS and Android subscriptions are purchased through Apple App Store or Google Play and fulfilled via RevenueCat.
- Payment is charged to your store account at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Manage or cancel in your Apple ID or Google Play subscription settings.
- Deleting your IMPETUS account does not cancel a store subscription.

4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Misuse the Service, attempt unauthorised access, or disrupt other users.
- Upload unlawful, harmful, or infringing content.
- Scrape, reverse engineer, or abuse APIs beyond normal app use, except where permitted by law.
- Share another person’s personal or health-related training data outside the coaching relationship without a lawful basis.
5. Content you provide
You retain ownership of content you create (programmes, notes, photos you upload, etc.). You grant us a licence to host, process, and display that content solely to operate the Service (including sharing it with coaches, athletes, or facilities as the product’s features require).
6. Not medical advice
IMPETUS is a coaching and training tool, not a medical device and not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Exercise involves risk of injury. Use the Service at your own risk and consult qualified professionals as appropriate.
7. Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties (hosting, email, push notifications, Apple, Google, RevenueCat). Their terms and privacy policies apply to their processing. We are not responsible for third-party outages outside our reasonable control.
8. Account deletion
You may delete your account in the app under Settings. Deletion deactivates access and removes personal identifiers as described in our Privacy Policy. Coaches who are the sole owner of a facility may need to add another owner before deletion can complete.
9. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, create risk to the Service or other users, or if required for legal or security reasons. You may stop using the Service at any time.
10. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date above and, where appropriate, additional notice in-app or by email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
